Energy Recovery
At WRM facilities, state-of-the-art processes drastically reduce the volume of hazardous and non-hazardous industrial waste, while creating useable energy and materials:
Our waste-to-energy incinerators utilize the stored energy of waste to reduce the volume of landfill-bound material by more than 90 percent, removing ferrous and non-ferrous metals for recycling
Our cement kilns use 100 percent of waste material as fuel. Any residue becomes part of the cement product which is produced, yielding zero landfill waste.
Waste materials suitable for energy recovery include:
- Pharmaceutical scrap products
- Off-specification and expired raw materials and products
- Confidential documents and electronic media
- Pharmaceutical materials and controlled substances
- Non-hazardous bulk liquid waste
- Recalled products and counterfeit products
- Consumer products
- Animal fats and vegetable oils
- Spent solvents and still bottoms from solvent recovery systems
- Paint sludge and scrap paint (water- and solvent-based)
- Chemical manufacturing residues
- Refinery wastes
- Hydrocarbon residues
- Tires
