Anaerobic Digestion
Our complete-mix, high-solids anaerobic digestion technology solves the waste management issues facing agricultural farmers, industrial food companies, municipal treatment plants and ethanol producers.
Through this proven, reliable system, organic waste that would otherwise be incinerated or hauled to landfills is used to produce energy-rich biogas - a renewable energy source that can be captured and used for electricity or compressed into CNG (compressed natural gas). The natural process, which uses microorganisms, also generates biosolids, which are used for fertilizer and organic soil amendments.
Organic wastes include:
- Crop residuals
- Manure
- Food waste
- Fats, oils and greases
- Personal care products
- Bio-based lubricants
- Municipal wastewater
